Our Staff

Meet Debbie, the owner of the preschool who has 25 years experience of working in childcare. The preschool was opened 15 years ago and has seen many children come through their doors including children with SEND.
Debbie is very passionate about what she does and has developed the preschool to have a family feel to it where parents and children feel at home. She has lots of experience in looking after children with autism and has a flair for working with them and helping them to transition into school.
She can always be found in the preschool playing alongside the children which is her favourite place to be. Debbie is a first aider and has a level 5 qualification in childcare. She is a very patient and calm person with a lovely sense of humour, children just warm to her instantly.

This is Jenny who is the Deputy and works alongside Debbie. Jenny first came to the preschool as a parent who put two of her children into the preschool.
She liked it so much that she joined the team.
Jenny is a level 3 qualified early years educator which she completed in house along with day release to Derby College.
Jenny has been the Deputy for a year and is a very valid member of the team. She has shown commitment and dedication and she enjoys working with the children, helping to nurture them and see them grow. Jenny is a calm and patient person with a good sense of humour.
She is a first aider and is training to become a SENCO as she enjoys assisting Debbie with children who have special needs.

Meet Kate who is one of our practitioners. Kate has also had two of her own children in the preschool and liked it so much, she wanted to join the team.
Kate had brought all her four children up and after the last one went to school, she felt ready to do something for herself and so she completed the level 3 in childcare and began working at the preschool.
She loves everything about the preschool and is happy to be a part of it. Kate is a first aider and has also attended lots of other training sessions.
Kate is also a calm and patient person with a lovely warm nature and a wicked sense of humour. Kate is very passionate about making craft activities for the children, she has lots of lovely ideas and prepares crafts for the children.
