Heatherton Preschool is an independent setting which runs from the community centre in Heatherton.
We are dedicated to providing individual care and education for children between the ages of 2-4 years.
We pride ourselves on our family orientated environment working closely with parents.
We aim to provide a warm and nurturing environment in which each child can flourish and reach their full potential.
We endeavour to support every child in our care, to ensure they achieve their utmost, develop confidence in their own abilities and a lifetime love of learning.
About Us
Heatherton Preschool has been open since January 2010 and provides child care for the local community. The preschool runs from the community centre which provides a large room, kitchen, small meeting room, toilets and disability toilet and large garden space. The building can accommodate wheel chair users.
The manager has worked in childcare for twenty four years and is very passionate about caring and working with children, she has supported many children with special needs and enjoys helping them and their parents with transition into school and supporting them on a daily basis.
The preschool has accommodated many special needs children over the years and has experience of working with children who have been diagnosed with autism, Down's syndrome and children with hearing difficulties. We work closely with other agencies such as, speech and language, paediatrician, health visitors and the early intervention team.
We arrange events throughout the year, such as summer trips, Christmas craft morning, Christmas party and leaver's ceremony for children moving to reception class. Parents are also invited throughout the year to parent meetings to discuss their child's development and discuss their child's learning journey.
